DEICHMANN X HANNELI MUSTAPARTA AW15 Review

DEICHMANN X HANNELI MUSTAPARTA- AW15 COLLECTION REVIEW

Hello Lovelies! So, Summer has gone and now Autumn is here. One of the hardest things I find about the Summer-Autumn transition is changing from flip-flops and sandals, which pretty much go with everything, to more practical shoes which suit the drizzly English weather.

Deichmann have come to my rescue! This Autumn they've launched a collection with the gorgeous fashion blogger come model Hanneli Mustaparta. I chose two pairs of shoes from the collection and they're perfect for Autumn and will definitely be my favs through the winter months. A girl can never have too many shoes, right?

You can buy the collection here! If the link doesn't work please copy and paste this into your browser ~~ http://www.deichmann.com/GB/en/shop/home-ladies/home-ladies-hannelimustaparta.cat

ANKLE BOOTS

The ankle boots that I chose are absolutely amazing! I can't get over how comfy they are and there's so much attention to detail with these boots. They even have a faux zip on the outside of the boot to add a chic touch with a concealed workable zip on the inside! So cute!
I wore these around London literally all day and they were so comfy, perfect for adding a bit of extra height and glamming up a simple outfit! I also got a load of compliments on my boots and even had my photo taken for a street-style instagram account!

LOAFERS

The other pair of shoes I picked were loafers. Loafers are so in this AW- they fit so well with the retro 70s trend that has been seen throughout the year. I don't actually own a pair of loafers and I've always lusted after them as they look so cute with basically any outfit and they're so easy to wear. The Deichmann x Hanneli Mustaparta Loafers are so so lovely- they're patent and have a luxury red inner lining which is slightly padded- meaning they're great for walking. With the English weather they're so perfect and keep every bit of rain out! No more soggy feet haha!

Can  you tell I like hats?!

_________________________________________________________________________________

So, that's all from me! I hope you enjoyed my review and liked how I styled my outfits with the shoes. I love the plummy and rusty colours of Autumn clothing and black shoes are definitely the perfect compliment. Last but not least is the make-up I did to complete the look- using purple shades to fit in with the season.

As always, if you have any questions please do let me know !

SUMMER OF LOVE- How to wear this Summer's 70's trend.

Summer of Love- How to wear the 70's trend. Miss Selfridge co-ord flared wide leg trousers crop top

HOW TO WEAR THIS SUMMER'S 70'S TREND.

Hi Lovelies! This post is definitely long overdue, but I've finally got round to expressing my love for this Summer's throwback to the 70s. My wardrobe at the minute pretty much consists of bell sleeves and wide leg trousers- I pick up everything I like that fits with the boho retro look. One of my favourite pieces this summer is a navy blue and yellow floral co-ord set from Miss Selfridge

So, in this post I'm hoping to tell you guys how I styled one of the 70's outfits I'm wearing this summer and hopefully give you guys some inspiration on how to style your own looks. I wore this outfit during a stay in London with my boyfriend. He is from Hong Kong so travels back home during the uni breaks so I didn't see him for a while and we celebrated with a lovely hotel stay at Qbic London. The hotel itself is really cool, the room basically consists of trendy and quirky furniture, and the bed is a huge cube which is back to back with a bathroom. I definitely recommend the place and its just a short walk from Shoreditch so perfect location! There's even mood lighting and all sorts ;)

I paired the outfit with my white heeled gladiator sandals, we were walking around London and I wanted to wear heels to help elongate my legs in my flares but something that was still comfy. I curled my hair 70's style, away from my face and used my large round retro sunglasses as a hair accessory ( I use sunglasses as hair accessories all the time- even if its not  particularly sunny... haha). I painted my nails nude and used a load of pretty midi rings from Topshop. On my lips I went for a dark nudey pink by Kiko, 602. I contoured my face with the amaaaaazing Morphe cream contour palette and fake tanned with Vita Liberata. A dainty necklace from Accessorize's Z range helped highlight the v-neck of the top.

I absolutely love this outfit and there are loads of other amazing items in Miss Selfridge's summer collection- their wide leg trousers are so beautiful. I had an amazing weekend in Qbic, a lovely dinner at Pizza East and retro clothes made it even better ♥. Are you loving the 70's trend this summer? What looks have you styled? Let me know in the comments!

B. GLISTEN EYE SHADOW PALETTE REVIEW WITH A GOLDEN PROM LOOK.

Hiya Lovelies! I'm officially a Product Testing UK beauty blogger! You can check out there website here. A little while ago I got sent this lovely palette by the up and coming make up brand 'B.'. I've heard a lot of good things about the brand- a lot of bloggers are loving their brushes- and you can get their stuff at Superdrug! The particular palette I received was the B. Complete Eyeshadow Palette in Glisten which retails for £6.99.

The palette itself looks really pretty- the packaging is nice and simple and the colours are really sparkly. I especially fell in love with the rose gold colour which matches my Morphe Rose Gold Brushes perfectly! The colours are very neutral and I think they'll suit a wide range of skin tones- which is definitely a plus. I thought the colours would work perfectly for prom and seeing as prom season is approaching I thought I'd try out a simple prom look with the palette.

I was pleasantly surprised by how well the colours complimented my green eyes so if you have a similar eye colour to me deffo give it a go! To achieve the look I used the lightest shade over my entire lid, blended the gold in the middle and the rose gold from the outside of my lash line inwards. I added the darkest colour with an angled brush to define my crease! I finished off the look with my holy grail Barry M Liquid Liner and Code Beautiful VLM Mascara which is amazing. I paired the eyes with my favourite Revlon Colourstay in Sultry which is my absolute fav.

Overall I liked the palette and I would recommend it as the colours really do compliment each other. My only negative would be that the colours aren't as pigmented as they seem in the packaging and although most blended well, the darkest colour was a bit difficult to blend. For the price, however, the palette is definitely worth it!

Graduate Fashion Week with Bourjois

BACKSTAGE WITH BOURJOIS AT GRADUATE FASHION WEEK.

Hi lovelies! In between my last post and now I have officially finished university! That means my blog post will be a lot more regular! Anyway, if you follow me on twitter you'll know I got chosen by Bourjois to head backstage at GFW for a day!
________________________________________________________________________________

I spent the day with the lovely Bourjois PR team and Beth Strong, another blogger (you can see her blog here). The day began with some breakfast and locating the Bourjois stand, where I booked in my manicure and mini makeover with the nail technicians and make up artists. We were booked in to see the Liverpool fashion show but before hand we got the chance to head backstage with the head make up artist Lan Nguyen-Grealis

It was amazing meeting such a high-profile make up artist, who beautifies stars such as Paloma Faith. Lan showed us all the new products that Bourjois are launching for summer and we got to try some out ourselves. I absolutely love the Parisian Summer range- all the products are going to compliment tanned skin! She also gave us her tips on concealing under the eyes, using Bourjois Java Rice Powder and Little Round Pot Light Eyeshadow in no1. I also found out which Bourjois products I should used for contouring, and I'll definitely be picking up Cream Blush 04 and 05 like she suggested! I also tried out Bourjois' Metallic Blue Eyeliner which is so on-trend at the moment and I couldn't recommend it enough! I was surprised how awesome the Rouge Edition Aqua Laque lipsticks are! They're advertised as water-light and that's exactly how I'd describe them, they don't feel like you're wearing anything at all and they're definitely not sticky.

After the backstage action we got to watch the Liverpool fashion show and there were some amazing pieces. I loved the amount of white that was used in the collections as well as the fringing in Cherise Belle-Smith's all-white-errythang collection (fuelling my 70s style obsession). I loved the bubblegum pink outfits by Rachael Tsai and Beth and I thought the most interesting had to be Curtis Fullman's where he used a hell of a lot of hair!

After the fashion show we went to get lunch- there were street food stands amongst the exhibition which is definitely my thing. I went for a Crispy Pork Baboy- a Filipino inspired BBQ dish and it was divine. We then headed up to the Bourjois stand to get our nails done. The lovely Nikki Dury painted mine and I picked a colour which matched my lips -Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick in 07 Nude-ist and Bourjois' new La Laque nailpolish in 7 Lycheers.

last two photos are by Beth Strong ♥

Beth and I explored the venue after this and we came across the Cocio chocolate milk van and managed to grab ourselves a couple of bottles which were so so yummy.

LUSH COSMETICS- Mask of Magnaminity Review - self-preserving acne mask

LUSH COSMETICS- MASK OF MAGNAMINITY REVIEW.

Hello lovelies! So right now I'm in the middle of my exams with one to go and I'm super busy with revision but thought I'd give myself a break and write a blog post! If you know me- you'll know I love LUSH. One of my favourite things about being home from uni is using my bath at home and I pick a new bath-bomb every time!

I decided to treat myself recently and picked up quite a few things from LUSH. I visited the Bromley store and picked up a bubble bar - Brightside, and a super-cute Bubblegrub. I haven't used these yet and will probably review them when I do as they smell so amazing!  The super-friendly staff helped me pick out a mask for my skin, I wanted something to help with my breakouts but one that wasn't drying. I tried out a few on my skin and went for the Mask of Magnaminity Self-preserving which has extra honey for preservation so wouldn't dry my skin out loads!

The mask itself is really thick which I loved- you don't need much to cover your whole face. I usually put it on my face and leave it for 10-15 minutes and in this time it turns from a mint to bright green - looking rather hulk-like, You won't like me when I'm angry!!! I usually find the feel of face masks really gross as they dry really cold and hard on the skin and I feel like I can't move my face- this mask is really supple and doesn't do this. The smell is amazing, minty and fresh and really helps to make you feel clean afterwards, I actually 'accidentally' ate a bit and it doesn't taste too bad... When it comes to washing off the mask it kind of melts away leaving the exfoliating chunks of evening primrose seeds and aduki beans, which gently scrub the skin.

I feel like the mask is really working with my combination skin, prone to acne and dry spots, as well as an oily t-zone. I will definitely be buying it again and it really is a worthwhile addition to anyone's LUSH or cosmetics collection. I also love the fact that, when you collect 5 empty tubs, LUSH will give you a new tub for free- hooray!

_________________________________________________________________________________

I also have a few more LUSH posts to come- I recently took a trip to the brand new Oxford Street store where I bought some Fun- in gold, a similar fragrance to Honey I Washed the Kids. I also grabbed an exclusive bath oil melt Mmmelting Marshmallow Moment. I also HAD to grab Comforter shower cream, smells just like Jelly Babies. On Friday I also attending the LUSH Bromley Summer Beauty Blogger Event and trialled many lovely suncare and normal products. I picked my favourite three and will be blogging about them soon! So stay tuned... ♥
